Safety tips

• Go in daylight. Take someone with you if you can.
• Tell a roommate or classmate which street and agent you are meeting.
• Meet at a known spot near the gate, not a random junction far from campus, unless you already know the area.
• Look at the locks, the fence, and who else lives in the compound. Ask about generators and borehole hours.

• Do not transfer a full year’s rent because someone sent a photo on WhatsApp.
• Pay inspection only when you are at the lodge or clearly on the way with the agent.
• For rent, pay the person named on the receipt. Keep a copy of the receipt and any agreement.

Meet first in a public place on campus — cafeteria, faculty, or a busy junction near a gate. Do not send school fees, rent, or your BVN to someone you only know from a profile. If a profile feels off, skip it and report it.
