Student trust and safety

• The agent or landlord has a name, WhatsApp number, and lodges they can actually show around FUTA.
• Listings include the gate, yearly rent, and whether the room is self-contain or not.
• Photos or video are of that lodge, not a different building in another city.

Verification means we reviewed the listing before it went up. It does not mean Campus Crib has signed your tenancy or visited every room that week.

• Inspect in daylight. Take a friend if you can.
• Do not pay a full year’s rent from a WhatsApp chat or a transfer to an unknown account.
• Ask who collects rent, what caution covers, and when the lodge year starts and ends.
• If a listing looks fake, use Report an issue. We will take it down if we cannot confirm it.

If the room you saw is not the room in the photos, stop and write us on WhatsApp with the listing link. We can remove the agent from the site. We cannot refund rent you already paid to a landlord. That has to be settled with them, or through the usual campus and local channels.
